ViridiSTOR Named as American Technology Award Finalist in IT Services & Consulting Category.

TechAmerica Foundation Presents "Best Of" Awards Recognizing Technology products and Services Across the Technology Industry

TUSTIN, CA, May 10, 2012 – ViridiSTOR® LLC, has been named a finalist in the IT Services & Consulting category for the 2012 TechAmerica Foundation American Technology Awards (ATA’s). The ATA’s cross the technology industry recognizing technology products and services like the ViridiSTOR Green Box® solution. The winners will be announced at the Technology and Government gala dinner in Washington, D.C. June 13, 2012.

“Being selected as one of three finalists for a Terman award in the IT Services & Consulting category is truly a great honor” stated Terry Mullin, president and CEO of ViridiSTOR LLC. “As the first sustainable solution that significantly reduces the cost of delivering information of all kinds at nearly 2 million events held every year, the ViridiSTOR solution addresses the need for an immediate payback in a sustainable solution. Through the reduction or elimination of paper at the 1.8 million events that take place annually in the U.S. alone, our solution provides unquestionable environmental savings, while reducing costs,” added Mullin.

“The caliber of this year’s nominees was incredible. Our judges had their work cut out for them,” said Jennifer Kerber, President of the TechAmerica Foundation. “We congratulate Viridistor for their outstanding work and thank them for their contribution to the growth and innovation of our vibrant tech industry.”

“With the digital delivery of content at events through the use of our product, we improve the user experience of the over 205 million attendees who participate, for a fraction of the cost of paper-based materials that are paid for by exhibitors,” stated Mullin. “And considering that these events contribute approximately $106 billion to the GDP of the U.S. economy, clearly our innovation makes as much fiscal sense as sustainable sense."

The awards, also known as the “Termans” in honor of Frederick Terman, the widely credited father of Silicon Valley, are awarded on the basis of a thorough evaluation by industry experts and technology leaders. Nominations for The American Technology Awards, “The Termans,” are vetted by industry experts and technology companies.

Kevin Johnson, CEO of Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) will also be honored during the dinner with the American Technology Awards Corporate Leadership Award and Department of Homeland Security Chief Information Officer, Richard Spires will be recognized as the Government Technology Executive of the Year.
